Vietnamese leaders send congratulatory messages on Lao PDR's National Day

General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man sent congratulatory messages to the leaders of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

On the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (December 2, 1975 - December 2, 2024), on December 2, General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man sent congratulatory messages to General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith, Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone, and National Assembly Chairman Saysomphone Phomvihane.

The telegram reads: “The Party, State, Government, National Assembly and People of Vietnam strongly and comprehensively support Laos's renovation and firmly believe that, continuing the glorious historical tradition of the nation and promoting the achievements made in recent years, under the wise leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party headed by General Secretary Thongloun Sisoulith, the Lao country and people will continue to gain even greater new achievements in the renovation, successfully implement the Resolution of the 11th Party Congress and the 9th Five-Year Socio-Economic Development Plan for the 2021-2025 period, successfully organize Party Congresses at all levels towards the 12th National Party Congress; successfully build a peaceful, independent, democratic, unified and prosperous Laos according to socialist goals.

We are extremely pleased and proud to see that along with the important achievements that the two Parties, States and Peoples have attained in recent times, the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos founded by the great President Ho Chi Minh and President Kaysone Phomvihane and President Souphanouvong, and cultivated by generations of leaders and people of the two countries, has been continuously consolidated and developed, becoming increasingly deeper, more substantial and effective in all fields, actively contributing to the cause of innovation and development in each country.

We will do our utmost together with the Lao Party, State, Government, National Assembly and People to preserve, protect and foster the special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos to develop further, for the benefit of the people of each country, for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world."

On this occasion, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Committee's External Relations Commission Le Hoai Trung sent a congratulatory letter to Acting Head of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee's External Relations Commission Bounlua Phandanouvong and Foreign Minister Thongsavanh Phamvihane; Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son sent a congratulatory message to Foreign Minister Thongsavanh Phamvihane./.
