Therefore, teachers should help students reduce their dependence on AI so that they can increase their analytical and self-learning abilities, thereby reducing the rate of AI abuse for cheating. "In addition, it is also necessary to integrate ethical issues when using AI into each lesson," Master Hy added.
Nowadays, most students use AI for their studies and research. According to experts, preventing and combating cheating using AI must start when students start to approach AI.

"At the school level, schools need to coordinate to organize propaganda sessions on AI ethics. In addition, it is also necessary to develop a set of rules for using AI for students, clearly stating what is allowed to use AI and what is not allowed. This is something many schools abroad are doing very well," Mr. Hy recommended.
At the highest level, the education sector, we need to seriously reconsider the way we set questions and evaluate students' work. "We can no longer focus too much on the correct answer, because AI can give accurate results in just a few seconds. Instead, we should evaluate students' thinking, presentation, reasoning, and analysis during the problem solving process rather than the final answer," commented Master Hy.
Meanwhile, Associate Professor Dr. William D. Magday Jr., Dean of the College of Education at Nueva Vizcaya State University (Philippines), emphasized that students can use AI during lesson discussions, but absolutely must not touch this tool during tests or when doing short exercises. "Make sure that students' answers are done by themselves, and it is best to ask them to write their answers by hand instead of using laptops," Associate Professor Dr. Magday told Thanh Nien reporter.
"AI is inevitable. We can't change that, so it's best to embrace it and learn how to use it properly to ensure it becomes a useful support tool," Magday said.
Not only is it a story of cheating, AI is also a "double-edged sword" because it brings many benefits but also causes many new problems for teachers and students, according to Professor Cao Xiuling, Director of the International Chinese Language Institute at Shanghai Normal University (China). Notable among these are the stories of AI ethics such as how to protect user data, the challenges of ensuring fairness in education, or how to help students maintain creative thinking in the AI era.
