Ho Chi Minh City National University surpasses 3,000 international publications

NDO - On December 26, Ho Chi Minh City National University announced that as of December 2024, the unit had published 4,153 scientific articles in domestic and foreign journals and conferences. Of which, the number of articles published in international scientific journals in the SCIE/SSCI/Scopus category was 3,120, accounting for 97% of the total international articles.


Also according to Ho Chi Minh City National University, in recent years, Ho Chi Minh City National University has always been the leading unit in the country in scientific publication, especially in prestigious international journals belonging to two major database categories of the world : Web of Science (by Clarivate) and Scopus (by Elsevier).

In addition to maintaining the number of scientific publications, Ho Chi Minh City National University also focuses on improving the quality of publications.

According to statistics from the Scopus database for the period 2020-6/2024, the number of articles published in Q1 and Q2 ranked journals of Ho Chi Minh City National University accounts for about 66% and tends to increase gradually every year.

If we only count the number of articles published in Q1 ranked journals, this rate reaches 40.8%.

In the field of basic research, scientists of Ho Chi Minh City National University continue to cooperate with domestic and foreign units to publish research works in prestigious journals with very high IF impact factors.

This result shows that the policies in scientific research at Ho Chi Minh City National University in recent times such as: building key research programs associated with strong research groups, piloting the construction of centers of excellence; supporting funding for conferences and seminars with publications in the Scopus category, policies to reward international publications and solutions to develop scientific human resources, allocating funds in a transparent and competitive manner based on output results have had positive impacts, bringing about clear results.
