New milestone in Vietnam - Russia relations

The 75-year journey has witnessed different stages of development of Vietnam - Russia relations.

At the invitation of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin will pay an official visit to Vietnam from January 14-15. This is the first visit of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin to Vietnam. The upcoming visit of the Russian Prime Minister is an important event in the bilateral relationship in 2025 to promote the implementation of major orientations to deepen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership that were discussed and agreed upon by the two countries' senior leaders during the State visit to Vietnam by President Putin (June 19-20, 2024), and the phone call between General Secretary and President To Lam and President Putin (August 8, 2024).
