After receiving the good news from a very early phone call from his homeroom teacher, Ngo Bao Chau was still humble when talking about his academic performance and did not expect to achieve such a high score.
At first, when I heard the name Ngo Bao Chau, I thought it was a boy's name, but after talking to him, I found out that he is a girl. Ngo Bao Chau shared that she has 4 siblings, she is the second child in the family, her father is a bricklayer, her mother stays at home and does small business, family life is normal.
In addition to studying at school, in her free time, Bao Chau also helps her mother sell goods and takes care of her younger siblings.
"Actually, my academic performance is average, compared to my classmates, I'm not as good. During the test, my test results were okay, but I didn't expect my score to be so high.
When this morning, my homeroom teacher called to announce my score and congratulated me, I just found out that I was the valedictorian of the province. With this score, I plan to register my wish at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Ho Chi Minh City...", Bao Chau shared.

Talking to reporters, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kieu Anh - homeroom teacher of class 12/3 at Nguyen Khuyen High School shared that, indeed, when she received the class, it was the year of the Covid-19 epidemic, and even the homeroom teacher could not meet all of her students, because the opening ceremony was also online, and teaching was also online.
"Besides, when I first received the class, it was not a selective class of the school, not a specialized class of the school, the students' academic performance was also average, but they were very well-behaved, not disruptive, and focused on studying. As for Ngo Bao Chau, she was very determined, diligent in learning, for 3 years of high school she was an excellent student of the class and of the school. Bao Chau studied all subjects, not just the C block that she chose. She was an excellent student for 3 consecutive years and also won 3rd prize in Geography in the recent provincial exam.
