Vietnam team won the opening match of VTV Cup 2025 volleyball tournament

On the evening of June 28, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team won 3-0 against the Australian team in the opening match of the VTV Cup 2025 international women's volleyball tournament in Vinh Phuc.

Facing the underdog Australian team, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet still respected his opponent and was determined to win the opening match of the VTV Cup International Women's Volleyball Tournament. The team fielded their strongest lineup with Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Nguyen Thi Trinh, Nguyen Thi Uyen, Tran Thi Bich Thuy, Doan Thi Lam Oanh and libero Nguyen Khanh Dang.

Encouraged by a large crowd of fans packed into Vinh Phuc Stadium, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team created an overwhelming attack, continuously leading the Australian team and winning 25/18 in the first set. However, at some points, the Vietnamese team did not coordinate well and defended ineffectively, allowing their opponents to score quite easily.

Vietnam women's volleyball team shines

Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet decided to withdraw all key players such as Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen, Nguyen Thi Trinh and give opportunities to Pham Thi Hien, Vi Thi Nhu Quynh, Nguyen Thi Phuong. Playing with the second team, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team still dominated the Australian team and won 25/17. This was the match where Nhu Quynh and Kieu Trinh showed their impressive attacking ability.

The Australian team played with great effort in game 3, creating a fierce score chase, but the Vietnamese women's volleyball team broke out strongly to win 25/14, closing out the final victory with a score of 3-0.

Vietnam U.21 team lost 0-3 to Taiwan in the opening match of the 2025 International Women's Volleyball Tournament

Also today, the opening matches of Group B took place with the U.21 Vietnam team losing 0-3 to the Taiwanese team and the U.21 Thailand team losing 2-3 to the Korabelka Club (Russia). Tomorrow (June 29), the U.21 Vietnam team will face the U.21 Thailand team at 2:00 p.m. and the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will face the Philippines team at 7:00 p.m.
