Nearly 100 topics of Hanoi students in the city-level Science and Technology competition

In the 2024-2025 school year, 97 best topics were selected to participate in the city-level Science and Technology Competition for high school students.


On the morning of December 23, at Viet Duc High School (Hoan Kiem District), the Hanoi Department of Education and Training (DET) held the opening ceremony of the city-level Science and Technology Competition for high school students for the 2024-2025 school year.

In the 2024-2025 school year, 97 of the best topics were selected to participate in the city-level competition. The topics were in 4 groups of fields: Physics - Mechanical Engineering - System Software; Chemistry; Biology - Medicine - Environment; Social Sciences - Behavior.

The Science and Technology Competition held annually for students from grades 8 to 12 has attracted great attention from students and society.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong reviewed the outstanding achievements of the city's students in recent years in studying as well as scientific research, applying knowledge, and solving practical problems.

Mr. Tran The Cuong affirmed that the city's leaders always pay attention to education, including issuing appropriate rewards for students with excellent achievements in studying and scientific research.

Accordingly, on December 10, 2024, the City People's Council passed a Resolution stipulating the bonus level for the city's students with high achievements in domestic and international competitions and teachers with achievements in training and nurturing students to win prizes with worthy rewards, in which the highest prize is up to 300 million VND/student.

Thus, students who win high prizes in the Science and Technology competition will also receive awards.

In addition, the teachers - those who nurture and guide the students who win the prize - will also be rewarded at a rate equal to 70% of the student's reward.

According to the Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, this is the first time that students in the city who have achieved high results in domestic and international competitions have received such high rewards. It is hoped that they will have more motivation and determination in studying, practicing and participating in competitions.

Hanoi is one of the localities that always achieves high results in the national science and technology competition for students organized annually by the Ministry of Education and Training.

In the 2023-2024 school year, in the city-level competition, the jury awarded prizes to 97 topics, including: 9 First prizes, 21 Second prizes, 32 Third prizes and 35 Encouragement prizes.

Hanoi Department of Education and Training has selected 4 excellent topics to participate in the national science and technology competition, of which 3 topics won prizes, including: 2 first prizes and 1 third prize.
