On the morning of July 17, the price of SJC gold bars was maintained by companies at a stable level of 118.6 million VND/tael for buying and 120.6 million VND/tael for selling.
The price of 99.99% gold rings and jewelry gold also remained stable at 114.2 million VND/tael for buying and 116.8 million VND/tael for selling.
After 2 days of fluctuations, domestic gold prices are quiet this morning, despite the turmoil in world prices.
In the international market, today's gold price is being traded at 3,340 USD/ounce, up nearly 20 USD/ounce compared to the previous session.
During the trading session last night and early this morning, there was a time when the price of gold increased vertically from 3,325 USD to 3,375 USD/ounce. Investors were still surprised, but immediately after that, the precious metal reversed and fell sharply.
SJC gold bar and gold ring prices are stable this morning
Gold prices have been volatile as the market reacts to monetary policy and moves by the US Federal Reserve (FED). Investors are awaiting more economic data, including the upcoming consumer inflation (CPI) report, to assess the possibility of the FED changing interest rates in the future.
Gold price forecast to reach $4,000/ounce?
In this context, gold is still considered a safe haven, especially when political and economic instability continues to increase.
In its second half 2025 strategy report, MBS Securities Company stated that in the first half of this year, gold prices were supported by strong demand from central banks and ETFs, amid macroeconomic and geopolitical instability, along with concerns about the devaluation of the USD. In the first quarter of 2025, central banks bought 244 tons of gold, while ETFs bought a net 227 tons.
Many organizations predict that gold prices could reach around $3,800/ounce in the fourth quarter of 2025, and could continue to increase to $4,000 in the first half of 2026.
Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 106 million VND/tael.
