According to VTC News reporters, many restaurants and cafes on many streets in Hanoi have opened for business at the beginning of the year, many even open during Tet, with extremely crowded customers.

Famous coffee chains such as Highland, Cong Cafe, Starbucks,... all announced that they are open during Tet, and do not charge Tet surcharges.

Anh Tu, the owner of a cafe on Vu Mien Street (Tay Ho District, Hanoi) said: "My shop is open during Tet, but the prices of drinks in the shop remain the same as usual. Only on the 30th, 1st and 2nd of Tet, my shop charges each table an additional 10% of the total bill."

A restaurant owner on Hang Dieu Street (Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi) said that although the prices of fresh ingredients such as vegetables and noodles have increased during Tet, sometimes even by 20-30%, the prices of noodles and pho remain the same as usual.

"My friends and I met, went to coffee shops and ate on Pho Duc Chinh street in the first days of Spring. I saw that this year, cafes and restaurants did not charge extra or increase prices like previous years. I was even surprised because the hot pot restaurant where my friends and I went to had a promotion: 6 people pay for 5 people," said Mr. Huynh Hieu (Hoan Kiem).
