Buckingham Palace has released more coronation portraits of King Charles III, including one of him with Prince William and his son.

The photo released by Buckingham Palace on May 12 shows King Charles III sitting on the throne, holding the scepter and the Sovereign's Orb, flanked by Prince William and Prince George. Prince William and Prince George are first and second in line to the British throne.

Photographer Hugo Burnand, who took portraits of the British royal family after the coronation, called it an important photo.

"I've done a lot of research on previous coronations and I've never seen any photos of the members of the line of succession next to the throne and the symbols of royalty," Burnand said.

This portrait is reminiscent of the photo of Queen Elizabeth II with Prince Charles and William and his father, the first three in line to the throne before the Queen died. However, they are all in casual clothes in this photo.

The British Royal Family on May 8 released for the first time official portraits of King Charles III, Queen Camilla and other family members on coronation day.

British media reported that after the coronation ceremony at the Abbey, the royals had lunch at Buckingham Palace and then had their official portraits taken. The photographer who took the photos was Burnand, who also took the wedding photos of Charles and his wife in 2005.

The Charles Crown was made in 1937 for the coronation of King George VI, father of Queen Elizabeth II. The crown is 31.5 cm high, weighs more than 1 kg, and is encrusted with a total of 2,868 diamonds, 269 pearls, 17 sapphires, 11 emeralds and 4 rubies.

The throne on which King Charles sat was made in 1902 for the coronation of King Edward VII.
