DNSE Aquaman Vietnam, Phan Thiet 2023 is a two-way Swimming - Running tournament, jointly organized by Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee , VnExpress Newspaper, FPT Online Services Joint Stock Company. The tournament will officially start in 2 days ( October 28-29 ). This year's tournament, named DNSE Aquaman Vietnam, Phan Thiet 2023 , has 1,500 athletes (50 foreign athletes) participating in 4 main distances: Aquakid (200m swim, 1km run) for children from 6 years old - under 10 years old. Sprint Aquaman (500m swim, 5km run) for athletes over 10 years old, Half Aquaman (1km swim, 10km run) for athletes 16 years old and up and Full Aquaman (2km swim, 21km run) for athletes 18 years old and up.
Mr. Huynh Ngoc Tam - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism attended the press conference with representatives of leaders of departments, organizations, athletes, and reporters from the central and local press. Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Huynh Ngoc Tam emphasized: This is a special sports tournament organized for the first time with 2 combined events to bring a new experience, thereby introducing the image of the locality to friends and athletes at home and abroad. The Provincial People's Committee also has the safest preparations for athletes during the competition, as well as mobilized forces and means to have a rescue plan.
The tournament promises to bring athletes new challenges with a running track stretching along 7km of coastline and a comprehensive ecosystem, meeting all needs for sports, tourism, relaxation, cuisine, entertainment, recreation... This is also an opportunity for athletes and their loved ones to enjoy the fresh sea breeze and impressive and unique entertainment and resort services at NovaWorld Phan Thiet.
According to the schedule, all athletes will start the swimming competition at Miami Bikini Beach Park and the running competition at Bikini Beach Square, NovaWorld Phan Thiet. The tournament hopes to contribute to promoting the Aquathlon (swimming and running) sports movement in Vietnam . Thereby , aiming to build the Aquaman Vietnam sports tournament into an annual tournament held in Binh Thuan. Mr. Ngo Manh Cuong - representative of the Organizing Committee , said: Through this tournament, we hope to promote tourism and economic development in the locality , introduce and promote the image, cultural landscapes, people and cuisine to domestic and international friends.
