The first haunting image of the horror film "Under the Lake" received the attention of the audience.
Director Tran Huu Tan and producer Hoang Quan have just revealed the first image of the 7th film project called Bottom of the lake .
After previous successful works such as Tet in Hell Village, Soul Eater and Bran, The film continues to take the audience on a supernatural, thrilling and haunting horror journey inspired by one of the urban legends of Ho Da.
The first image is haunting, with the girl being pulled under the water by cold, invisible hands - as if there are restless souls trapped at the bottom of the lake. The gloomy atmosphere, the fear of mysterious disappearances and the oral stories have helped the first image from the film open the door to the obsession that has haunted the Lake of Death for many years.
Sharing about this topic, director Tran Huu Tan said this will be a project full of Vietnamese urban legends.
"We want to rekindle the familiar haunting, where young people, especially students, often hear about mysterious, strange and spiritual stories in this death lake area," he said
Producer Hoang Quan expressed: "The Lake of Death is a true urban legend, both familiar and strange, that has always intrigued me. That is the motivation that urged us to bring this story to the big screen. The film will be a mysterious journey exploring a person's deepest pains and fears."
Bottom of the lake marks the return to the horror genre with a modern setting after projects with strong folk culture elements. The film attracts attention with the participation of young actors such as Karen Nguyen, Nguyen Thao, Lam Hoang Oanh, Mac Trung Kien... Especially the 2 "talents" Kay Tran and Thanh Duy.
Besides the attraction from the show Anh trai vu ngan cong gai, both of them have acting experience, having appeared and left their mark in many films.
Thanh Duy won the "Best Supporting Actor" award at the 19th Vietnam Film Festival for his role in the film Flapping in mid-air by female director Nguyen Hoang Diep. Kay Tran has also participated in films such as Autumn Promise, Monster Heart.
Horror movie Bottom of the lake Expected to open nationwide from June 6.
