On the morning of August 1, the Party Committee of Binh Hung Hoa Ward (HCMC) held its first Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term.
This is the first Party Committee among 168 Party Committees of wards, communes, and special zones of Ho Chi Minh City to hold a congress after rearranging administrative units according to the 2-level local government model.
Speaking at the meeting, comrade Nguyen Thanh Nghi, member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, commented that Binh Hung Hoa ward plays an important role in orienting the expansion of urban space and developing smart, green, and sustainable urban areas.
He also oriented some key tasks in the coming term, such as early shaping of new development space. Specifically, focusing on potentials and advantages to promote socio -economic development in some key areas.
Emphasizing the role and position of Binh Hung Hoa ward in the area that plays a connecting role between the center of Ho Chi Minh City and the western satellite city, comrade Nguyen Thanh Nghi stated that the ward focuses on economic development associated with sustainable urbanization, in which the ward needs to continue upgrading technical infrastructure and developing the inter-ward transportation system.
At the same time, continue to synchronously deploy solutions to promote economic development, focus on improving the quality and scale of enterprises in the area, actively support digital transformation, and attract investment in high value-added trade and service sectors.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee noted that the ward promotes cultural and social development in parallel with economic and urban infrastructure development. In particular, it is necessary to identify culture and society as the spiritual foundation and endogenous driving force for sustainable development of Binh Hung Hoa ward.
Referring to the characteristics of the ward with a large population and diverse population, comrade Nguyen Thanh Nghi suggested that the ward should pay special attention to comprehensive human development, improve the quality of education , health care, and social security, ensuring that all people enjoy the fruits of development. Along with that, continue to expand the system of modern cultural and sports institutions, spreading the Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space.
"Binh Hung Hoa Ward focuses on building a civilized lifestyle, urban beauty, taking good care of policy beneficiaries, poor households, near-poor households, disadvantaged people, people in difficult circumstances... contributing to improving the quality of life of the people, building a humane and affectionate community", comrade Nguyen Thanh Nghi noted.
Comrade Nguyen Thanh Nghi also noted that the ward needs to proactively propose planning adjustments, utilize and effectively exploit existing public land funds to form parks, green areas combined with children's playgrounds, and outdoor activity spots for local people.
Along with that, urgently complete the Binh Hung Hoa Cemetery Relocation Project to build and form an ecological park according to the approved plan. At the same time, proactively coordinate with city departments to speed up the progress of handling Go Cat landfill, creating land fund to develop large-scale parks in the area.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee also noted the work of ensuring political security, social order and safety; focusing resources on effectively implementing the 2-level local government model; promoting comprehensive digital transformation in the activities of the Party Committee and the ward political system, and effectively implementing the "Digital Education for All" movement.
The ward must focus on building a clean, strong, and comprehensive Party; always consider solidarity and attachment to the people as the decisive factor in all activities of the ward Party Committee throughout the term. The ward Party Committee needs to build a team of cadres with enough heart, vision, talent, and trust, practice what they preach, avoid formalities, show off, fear of innovation, promote democracy within the Party, and strictly maintain discipline and order.
Comrade Nguyen Viet Que Son holds the position of Secretary of the Ward Party Committee.
The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Binh Hung Hoa Ward Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 27 comrades. Of which, comrade Nguyen Viet Que Son holds the position of Secretary of the Ward Party Committee. Comrade Do Thi Thu Cuc holds the position of Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ward Party Committee. Comrade Nguyen Anh Cuong holds the position of Deputy Secretary and Chairman of the Ward People's Committee.
The Party Committee Inspection Committee of the ward consists of 5 comrades, with comrade Huynh Huu Nam as Chairman.
