This is the data given at the working session to evaluate the results of the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in Front work between Kon Tum province (Vietnam) and Ratanakiri province (Cambodia), period 2019-2024, held in Kon Tum province on November 27.
According to the assessment at the working session, in the past 5 years, based on the content of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation for the period 2019-2024, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Kon Tum province and the Cambodian Fatherland Solidarity Front Committee of Rattanakiri province have regularly exchanged information and promoted cooperation.

The two provinces have also stepped up propaganda and mobilized people in the border areas of the two countries to be aware of the significance and importance of building a peaceful and friendly border for the benefit of the people of the two countries. In addition, people's foreign affairs activities have been focused on by Party committees, authorities, Fatherland Fronts and socio-political organizations from the provincial to grassroots levels of the two provinces in many appropriate forms.
Kon Tum province supports 10 international students from Ratanakiri province with 1 year of Vietnamese language training to transfer to university level training at the University of Da Nang branch in Kon Tum; supports training for the period 2018-2023 for 6 international students from other provinces and sends 1 teacher to teach Vietnamese to children of the Khmer - Vietnam Association.
Notably, in the search and collection of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Cambodia, the two sides mobilized the people to search, collect and repatriate 34 remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Ratanakiri province. To date, 34 remains have been repatriated and buried at the Martyrs' Cemetery in Ngoc Hoi district, Kon Tum province.
The authorities and people on both sides of the border have also coordinated to exchange information. Border trade activities have contributed to expanding economic and trade exchanges and markets for goods consumption, contributing to building and tightening solidarity, friendship, neighborliness and cooperation. The people of the two provinces living along the Vietnam - Cambodia border have good neighborly relations, traditional friendship, comprehensive and sustainable cooperation...

Also at the working session, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Kon Tum province and the Cambodian Fatherland Solidarity Front Committee of Ratanakiri province discussed and agreed to sign a working record on evaluating the implementation results of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in Front work between the two provinces, period 2019-2024.
The two localities also agreed to continue to closely coordinate in exchanging operational experiences and strengthening relations in the fields of economy, society, national defense and security; propagandizing and mobilizing the people of the two provinces in implementing the policy of great national unity in building and firmly protecting the Fatherland of each country...
