Provincial People's Committee leaders received and worked with EDP Renewables Group to explore investment opportunities in the province.

At the meeting, Mr. Miguel Fonseca, General Director of EDP Renewable Group in Asia Pacific highly appreciated the development, investment attraction policies and development potential of Ninh Thuan province in the field of renewable energy (RE). The Group is currently the investor of two projects: Xuan Thien Solar Power Plant (250MWp) and CMX RE Sunseap (168MWp) in Ninh Thuan. Thereby, he expressed his desire to continue investing in RE projects in Ninh Son and Bac Ai districts; learn about legal regulations, taxes, land, and handle overlapping projects.

Comrade Trinh Minh Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting and worked with EDP Renewables Group.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Trinh Minh Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, informed about policies related to the renewable energy sector, and existing problems that are being resolved. In order to promote investment attraction, the province will review and implement preferential policies according to regulations, focusing on developing self-produced and self-consumed renewable energy projects, associated with the development of industrial parks and high-tech agriculture . We hope that the Group will pay attention and learn about investment opportunities in projects that the province is calling for investment; continue to accompany the province to promote advantages in renewable energy development, thereby paying attention to creating welfare for local people.
