(CLO) US President Donald Trump announced on Monday (February 10) that if all hostages held in Gaza are not released by noon this Saturday, he will propose canceling the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas and let "everything become chaos".
Speaking in the Oval Office, Mr Trump also said he might cut off aid to Jordan and Egypt if they did not accept Palestinian refugees from Gaza for resettlement.

A ceasefire between Israel and Hamas was set for January 2025, including an exchange of hostages and prisoners. However, the process has hit a snag as Hamas has delayed the release of hostages, accusing Israel of violating the terms of the ceasefire.
Israel has put its military on high alert, and the Israeli defense minister has condemned the delay as a violation of the agreement.
Mr Trump’s proposal to resettle Palestinians in Jordan and Egypt has been rejected by those Arab countries. The plan also includes redevelopment of the Gaza Strip, but has met with opposition from many sides.
President Trump has stressed that Gaza will never again be a “safe haven for terrorists.”
The international community is calling for a lasting peaceful solution to the conflict, with many countries and organizations working to mediate between the parties involved.
