According to Engadget , the Xbox Series X/S console has been around for three years now, and Microsoft has recently announced that it will no longer be making games for the Xbox One. Although the company will still support titles like Minecraft and Halo Infinite for the device, the Xbox Game Studios development team will not be working on new titles for the older console in the future.
The move was a necessary one to help new games not be held back by the Xbox One's hardware limitations. However, those still using an Xbox One will still be able to play Series X/S titles like Starfield and Forza Motorsport via the Xbox Cloud Gaming service.

The news comes after Xbox's impressive showing at its annual big reveal last weekend, where the company announced new titles like South of Midnight and Clockwork Revolution , while also giving fresh looks at games like Fable, Avowed , and Saga: Hellblade II .
The discontinuation of Xbox One game production will free Microsoft's development teams from the shackles of older-generation hardware, but some third-party developers have expressed concern that the Xbox Series S (which is less powerful than the Series X) is also holding them back.
Microsoft admits that it will take more work to ensure games run well on the Series S, but the company also notes that its studios are still doing a good job of optimizing projects for the Series S.
