Notice No. 112 of the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense stated: At 09:02 on July 20, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense received Notice No. 165 from Khe Bo Hydropower Plant regarding the operation and regulation of water in the Khe Bo Hydropower Plant reservoir to ensure the safety of the project.
To ensure the safe regulation of water in Khe Bo Hydropower Plant's reservoir in accordance with the approved Single Reservoir Procedure and Inter-reservoir Procedure on the Ca River Basin, Khe Bo Hydropower Plant plans to operate and regulate water in Khe Bo Hydropower Reservoir as follows:
Estimated time of discharge through the spillway compartment: At 14:00, July 20, 2025.
Discharge flow: Total discharge flow is from about 500 m3/s to 1500 m3/s (discharge through the generators and through the spillway) and can change depending on the water flow to the lake.
Time to end water discharge through spillway compartment: Until water flow to the lake is less than power generation flow through generators.
The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense informs the People's Committees of the following wards and communes: Tam Quang, Con Cuong, Cam Phuc, Chau Khe, Mau Trach, Anh Son, Yen Xuan, Nhan Hoa, Anh Son Dong, Vinh Tuong, Thanh Binh Tho, Do Luong, Bach Ngoc, Van Hien, Bach Ha, Thuan Trung, Luong Son, Cat Ngan, Dai Dong, Xuan Lam, Hoa Quan, Xuan Duong, Bich Hao, Kim Bang, Tam Dong, Kim Lien, Thien Nhan, Dai Hue, Nam Dan, Van An, Lam Thanh, Hung Nguyen, Yen Trung, Hung Nguyen Nam, Nghi Loc, Phuc Loc, Dong Loc, Trung Loc, Than Linh, Hai Loc, Tien Dong, Truong Vinh ward, Thanh Vinh ward, Vinh Hung ward, Vinh Phu ward, Vinh Loc ward, Cua Lo ward; Heads of provincial departments, branches and sectors are informed to notify authorities at all levels, agencies, units, investors who are constructing along the river, on the river, owners of water transport vehicles and all people in the downstream area of Khe Bo Hydropower Plant; to carry out necessary work, ensuring the safety of life and property of the state and people.
After Khe Bo Hydropower Plant, it is expected that from 4:00 p.m. on July 20, Chi Khe Hydropower Plant (Con Cuong) will continue to operate and regulate the reservoir water. The expected regulation level is as follows:
Estimated time of spillway discharge: At 16:00, July 20, 2025.
Discharge flow: Total discharge flow is about 506 m3/s to 1,600 m3/s (including discharge flow through the spillway and power generation flow through the generator) and may change depending on the water flow to the lake.
Time to end water discharge through spillway: Until water flow to Chi Khe lake is equivalent to electricity generation flow through generators.
