Musician Nguyen Duy Khoi

Not only composing based on personal inspiration, Nguyen Duy Khoi is also a person with extensive experience in composing based on themes. He once said: “When composing any topic, genre, or subject, the most important thing is emotion. When emotions are sublimated, you should also know how to control them, not letting them stray from the theme. Good works must come from your true thoughts and feelings. I often compose based on that spirit - using emotions to find sympathy from the public.”

Throughout his career, musician Nguyen Duy Khoi has written many songs that deeply depict the images of the Vietnamese countryside, the lands he has passed through, lived in, and been attached to. In 2022, he was honored to receive the State Prize for a series of 3 outstanding songs:

“Tuong Tu Hue” - A song filled with nostalgia and lingering feelings for the dreamy homeland of Hue. “Dem Hoi Pho Hoai” - A sparkling musical picture of ancient Hoi An, quiet, covered in memories but still bright with festival colors. “Ben Dong Dak Bla” - Inspired by a trip to Kon Tum , the work blends emotions before the majestic wilderness and stories about the resilient struggles of the Central Highlands people.

His passing leaves a huge void in the hearts of his friends, colleagues and music lovers. He was a quiet, profound and loving artist.

Farewell to musician Nguyen Duy Khoi - who passed through this life with gentle and sincere melodies.
