Officers and soldiers of the units always take the lead in the most difficult and arduous places, performing well the functions of "fighting army, working army, production labor army", contributing to maintaining political stability, order and social security in the Northwest region.

After getting married, the life of Mong Van Khoa, a Kho Mu ethnic group, residing in Nam Lanh village, Nam Lanh commune (now Sop Cop commune), Son La province, became very difficult. The family had many mouths to feed, and the main income of the whole family depended on a few acres of upland rice, with good harvests some years and bad years. In early 2019, after listening to the advice and introduction of working in industrial parks in the lowlands from officers and employees of Economic-Defense Group 326, Military Region 2, Mong Van Khoa discussed with his family and registered to participate. Not only Khoa, but his wife, Cut Thi Mui, also decided to leave their three young children of eating and school age to their grandparents to take care of and follow her husband to the lowlands to start a business.

After being advised and introduced, Mong Van Khoa and his wife worked at Minh Hoang Mechanical and Trading Company Limited, Ngu Hiep Commune, Thanh Tri District (now Thanh Tri Commune), Hanoi City, with a stable total income of both husband and wife from 25 to 28 million VND/month. With capital in hand, after more than 4 years of working in the lowlands, in 2023, Mong Van Khoa and his wife decided to return to start a business on their homeland. Having a mechanical profession, the couple invested in buying a rice threshing machine, a plow, and bought an additional truck to purchase agricultural products for people to deliver to large agents outside Son La City. Currently, Mong Van Khoa's family has a stable income, has renovated their house, and has become a well-off household in the area.

“Mobilizing and sending ethnic minority youth to work in industrial parks” is one of the typical skillful mass mobilization models of Military Region 2, period 2021 - 2025, implemented by Economic-Defense Group 326 since the beginning of 2019. Accordingly, implementing this model, in 2021 and 2022 alone, cadres, employees, and young volunteer intellectuals, Economic-Defense Group 326 has consulted and introduced 132 ethnic minority youth to work in industrial parks in Bac Ninh and Bac Giang provinces (now Bac Ninh province), creating jobs and stable income for local people.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Nhu Hop, Party Secretary, Political Commissar of Economic-Defense Group 326: After surveying and understanding the labor recruitment needs of factories, enterprises, and industrial parks in some provinces in the lowlands, through village and hamlet meetings and directly doing mass mobilization work in the area, the unit sent cadres, employees, and young intellectual volunteers who know the local language to propagate and mobilize people to participate. This model does not stop because the number of young people participating increases every year, but they also introduce many relatives and friends to work in industrial parks, bringing a stable economic source for their families.

Implementing the motto "The army proactively comes to the people, not waiting for the people to have difficulties to come to the army", associated with the movement "The army joins hands to build new rural areas", in the period of 2021-2025, the armed forces of Military Region 2 mobilized more than 749,500 working days to repair and build new 1,796km of rural roads; dredged more than 730km of intra-field canals; coordinated to help localities build and repair 462 classrooms; repaired 2,037 houses; sent forces to participate in thousands of working days to build 6 rows of boarding houses for students in mountainous areas... leaving a good impression in the hearts of the people.

According to Colonel Lam Dung Tien, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Division 316, the greatest benefit of the unit's mass mobilization activities was changing people's thinking and working methods and spreading them to people's lives. Colonel Lam Dung Tien recalled: In 2023, when the unit was doing mass mobilization work in Khau Tinh commune, Na Hang district, Tuyen Quang province (now Yen Hoa commune, Tuyen Quang province), most households here still followed the custom of raising livestock under stilt houses, causing unsanitary conditions and easily spreading diseases. The officers and soldiers of the Division proposed to the local Party Committee and authorities in the commune, and persistently went to each house to persuade 26 households to move their livestock to a concentrated confinement area. After the troops marched back to the unit, the model continued to be replicated in neighboring communes, attracting hundreds of households to change and follow suit.

With the motto "Listen to people, speak so that people understand, make people believe", in recent years, units under the Military Region 2 have had many very practical mass mobilization models, typically the model: "Mobilizing Mong people to celebrate Tet with Kinh people" of the Military Commands of Lao Cai, Tuyen Quang, Lai Chau provinces; the model "Three-skilled mass mobilization" of Division 316; the model "Propaganda and mobilization team", "Situation grasping team" of the Military Command of Phu Tho province.

The specific terrain of Military Region 2 is complex, and every year, localities are often heavily affected by the consequences of natural disasters, especially flash floods, landslides in the rainy season; droughts and forest fires in the dry season. Identifying the task of participating in preventing and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and epidemics as a combat task in peacetime, the Party Committee and Command of Military Region 2 have led and directed agencies and units to closely coordinate with local Party committees, authorities, departments, branches and organizations to regularly monitor and grasp the situation in the area; do a good job of preparing forces and means, being ready to participate in responding to and effectively handling natural disasters, epidemics and environmental incidents, especially the Covid-19 epidemic and Typhoon Yagi in 2024. Over the past 5 years, the Military Region 2 has mobilized more than 180,000 officers, soldiers and militia and self-defense forces; More than 2,600 vehicles, closely coordinated with departments, unions, socio-political organizations and forces stationed in the area, helping people prevent, combat and overcome the consequences of natural disasters, contributing to minimizing human and property damage caused by natural disasters. The image and qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers are increasingly shining in the hearts of the people.

Major General Nguyen Hong Thai, Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 2, affirmed: In order for the movement of "Skilled Mass Mobilization" and building "Good Mass Mobilization Units" to be more effective in the coming time, agencies and units need to be imbued with Ho Chi Minh's thought and the Party's viewpoints on mass mobilization work; closely follow the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels, term 2025 - 2030, the tasks of the Military Region's Armed Forces and localities; concretize into specific plans and programs of activities. Closely coordinate with Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front, local departments, branches and organizations, propagate and mobilize people to implement the Party's guidelines and policies, State policies and laws, and local regulations. Actively participate in socio-economic development and sustainable poverty reduction. Units focus on researching and building a practical "Smart Mass Mobilization" model, associated with digital transformation and technology, spreading it in people's lives, contributing to building an increasingly solid "people's hearts and minds position".
