Nhon Hai fishing village, Gia Lai province, is not only famous for its peaceful beauty and majestic scenery but also captivates many people with its mystery. Hidden under the deep blue water not far from the coast, there is a strip of rock about 3km long, revealed when the tide is low, which is likened by the locals to an ancient wall in the middle of the ocean.
The rock strip stretches from Ganh Duoi area (Phuong Mai peninsula) to Hon Kho island. From above, the rock strip has a gentle curve like a giant arm embracing the mainland.
The surface of the rock strip is made up of many blocks of stone stacked on top of each other to create a flat surface structure. The widest section of the rock strip is up to 50m wide.
The massiveness and special structure have led many people to compare and associate the rock strip with an ancient city wall or a thousand-year-old breakwater.
Every time the tide goes out, the rock strip will appear full and clear.
Many tourists come to Nhon Hai to set foot on this "wonder".
Exploring the "ancient wall" is quite simple, it only takes about 15 minutes to travel to this area by stand-up paddle board that can be rented on the beach.
Tourists take beautiful pictures at the "ancient wall".
This "wonder" has become an attractive destination for tourists when coming to Nhon Hai fishing village.
