The Samsung 990 EVO improves energy efficiency by up to 70% compared to the 970 EVO Plus, allowing users to use their computers for longer periods of time without having to constantly worry about battery life. The device also supports Modern Standby, which allows instant on/off with uninterrupted internet connection and quick notifications, even in power-saving mode.

Supporting both PCIe 4.0 x4 and PCIe 5.0 x2 protocols, the 990 EVO meets the needs of today's PCs using PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots, while providing compatibility with thermal and power management for PCIe 5.0 protocols in future applications.

Samsung Magician software provides a suite of optimization tools to enhance the functionality of all Samsung SSDs, including the 990 EVO. Users can easily and securely optimize data migration when upgrading their SSD. Additionally, Samsung Magician protects important data, monitors drive health, and provides timely notifications of firmware updates.

The 990 EVO internal hard drive will be available in the Vietnamese market from April 1, 2024 with a retail price of VND 3,059,000 for the 1TB version and VND 6,489,000 for the 2TB version.
