Launch of Humanitarian Month

On the morning of April 11, the Provincial Red Cross Society coordinated with the People's Committee of Lam Thao district to organize the launching ceremony of Humanitarian Month 2024 and the Movement "Good people - Good deeds - Joining hands to build a compassionate community" in Cao Xa commune, Lam Thao district.

With the theme "Humanitarian Journey - Giving and Receiving Love", Humanitarian Month 2024 starts from May 1 to May 31, two peak weeks from May 8 (International Red Cross and Red Crescent Day) to May 19 (Birthday of President Ho Chi Minh - Founder and first Honorary President of the Vietnam Red Cross Society ). The purpose of the program is to widely propagate humanitarian values, promote humane behavior in the community. Advocate mechanisms and policies for Red Cross activities and the work of building and developing the Society. Mobilize resources, build funds to support vulnerable groups in the community. The movement "Good people - Good deeds - Joining hands to build a compassionate community" aims to spread and multiply examples of good people and good deeds, contributing to building a cultural lifestyle, promoting humanitarian values, and forming humane and compassionate behavior in society.

Lam Thao district leaders awarded "Golden Heart" certificates to sponsors

At the program, sponsors and Red Cross Societies of 13 districts, cities and towns in the province supported and registered to support activities in the Humanitarian Month with a total value of nearly 6 billion VND. Delegates awarded the "Humanitarian Community" certificate to Cao Xa commune, and the "Golden Heart" recognition certificate to sponsors. They awarded support symbols to 14 humanitarian addresses with a total value of over 97 million VND and 30 gifts to students and families in difficult circumstances in Cao Xa commune, Lam Thao district with a value of 21 million VND.
