Support from experts, training institutions and personal efforts have helped teachers know how to use modern tools and necessary knowledge in the context of digital transformation in education .

Equipment efforts

From early summer 2025,FPT PolySchool Can Tho organized a series of free training sessions on “Application of AI in Teaching” for teachers of secondary schools in the area. During the training sessions, teachers were instructed to effectively exploit many AI tools to support content editing, lesson design, increase interaction and inspire learning for students.

Some typical tools introduced include: ChatGPT (content creation and lecture structure building), Gamma (automatic slide design), Suno (AI music composition), Invideo (illustration video creation), Canva (visual design) and Notebook LM (smart notes).

Not only in Can Tho City, similar training programs were also organized on a large scale at many FPT PolySchool facilities such as Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City. At the end of the training session, Mr. Nguyen Duy Linh - a teacher at Thoi Long Secondary School (Thoi Long, Can Tho) shared: “The training program not only provided me with theoretical knowledge, but also the opportunity to practice and directly experience useful AI tools.

I believe that with the support of AI, general education will increasingly develop in a more modern, effective and humane direction. I hope to apply this knowledge to my daily work to contribute to building the best learning environment for students."

Similarly, at the end of June, Nguyen Hien Secondary School (Tan Thoi Hiep, Ho Chi Minh City) organized a training course on the program “Application of AI to support teaching and learning based on Google Technology” for teachers of the entire school. The training course not only updated technology, but also opened up a new vision for education in the digital age. Accordingly, teachers were instructed on how to use AI tools to save time, create engaging lectures, increase interaction and inspire strong learning for students.

Mr. Dinh Van Trinh - Principal of the school said that from being confused, many teachers have proactively explored, tested AI tools and created content. "Although it was only encouraged, when the school informed about the training plan, more than 90% of teachers registered to participate.

The training course has equipped people with professional knowledge and skills to improve the quality of teaching and learning, and implement modern and advanced teaching methods to meet the requirements of education and training development in the new situation," said Mr. Trinh.

After the training, Ms. Le Thi Quynh Hoa - a teacher at the school said that she felt interested and useful so she looked for online courses to update her knowledge.

“If teachers know how to use AI, they will get many benefits such as: Searching for diverse learning resources; preparing lesson plans, creating lecture slides faster and more attractively... Because, the 2018 General Education Program requires innovation in teaching methods. The AI training program helps teachers confidently create creativity in choosing how to organize teaching. In particular, teachers will be able to design learning activities applying AI in teaching, contributing to improving the quality of education,” said Ms. Hoa.

Proactive teachers

In fact, Ho Chi Minh City has many advantages when applying AI to education with the support of many businesses. AI helps teachers personalize the teaching process, analyze teaching trends, and provide optimal learning solutions for students.

In particular, with digital technology, AI also helps the city bring modern educational solutions to difficult areas, especially suburban areas, shortening the gap in educational quality between the center and suburbs... Above all, AI opens up a platform to make English the second language in schools and with the support of technology, teaching English and science in English becomes more convenient.

Recently, many teachers have been researching and using AI in their teaching. Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Tuong Vy - a teacher at Le Van Viet Primary School (Tang Nhon Phu, Ho Chi Minh City) has been studying online even though she has not attended any training courses. She has started applying AI in teaching since the Covid-19 pandemic broke out.

“In my opinion, if teachers know how to use AI, they will teach more creatively and save time preparing lessons. Therefore, I hope all teachers will be proactive in learning, because if they do not learn, they will fall behind,” Ms. Vy emphasized.

Similarly, Ms. Bui Thi Canh - a teacher at Tan Phu Primary School (Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai) also researched digital technology and AI to serve her teaching work. Ms. Canh used the Suno application to compose songs about math formulas, helping students memorize math formulas more effectively. These songs are often used in the warm-up and reinforcement of lessons. She also researched and used AI to draw mind maps...

For Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thao - teacher at Thuan Kieu Primary School (Dong Hung Thuan, Ho Chi Minh City), at this time, she and her colleagues are participating in online training courses on "Application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Teaching and Learning" in 2025 organized by the Ministry of Education and Training on Saturday afternoons (from July to early August 2025). In addition, in recent years, Ms. Thao has also proactively researched and registered to participate in many training courses on using AI in teaching.

Ms. Thao shared: “Using AI in teaching is inevitable today, teachers are active and open, willing to study, research, explore and apply effectively and flexibly to improve their expertise, bringing lively and interesting lectures to learners. Of course, there are many platforms so teachers need to clearly understand the advantages and disadvantages, whether they are suitable for their lessons and save costs. Because some platforms now cost money to activate the account when registering.”

Mr. Dinh Van Trinh said: “With the strong development of artificial intelligence, applying technology to teaching and learning has become one of the important skills of teachers. Therefore, in addition to direct training sessions, teachers at the school are encouraged to study online. If AI is used in teaching, students will definitely be more interested.”
