Women from Police Academy and Schools donate "Clean water for children" in Dien Bien

On the occasion of the Month of Action for Children and Vietnamese Family Day on June 28, the Women's Union of People's Police Academies and Schools coordinated with the Women's Committee of Dien Bien Provincial Police to present many gifts to students of Nam Nhu Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, Nam Po District, Dien Bien Province.

The delegation was led by Colonel Dong Thi Hong Nhung, Vice Principal of People's Police College 1.

This is an annual activity of the Women's Association of People's Public Security Academies and Schools (CAND) to foster and enhance political qualities and patriotism for female cadres and members and to take practical actions, sharing the difficulties of children in remote and extremely disadvantaged areas, bringing long-term values from social activities, joining hands for the community.

Many meaningful gifts were given to teachers and students of Nam Nhu Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities.

In particular, the Project "Clean Water for Children" and the Project to spread the book series "Sowing Seeds with Great Men" are 2 of many projects and tasks that Emulation Group No. 6 - Women's Union of the Academies of the People's Public Security School has strongly implemented and maintained over the past many years.

On this occasion, the Working Group of Emulation Cluster No. 6 and Little Sol Montessori Kindergarten System - the accompanying unit presented Nam Nhu Primary and Secondary Boarding School with a clean water facility, which is a RO water filtration system with a capacity of 250l/hour. Along with 800 books, children's stories and 20 scholarships for poor students overcoming difficulties, with a total amount of 95 million VND.

The delegation also presented a "House of Gratitude" in Nam Nhu commune and supported the "Shelter of Love" Fund, with an amount of 10 million VND for the family of comrade Giang A Chu, a grassroots security officer with difficult circumstances of Nam Nhu commune police.

Before that, the delegation offered flowers and incense at the Dien Bien Phu Martyrs' Temple, A1 National Martyrs' Cemetery; visited the Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum, Panorama painting, A1 hill of Dien Bien Phu campaign. The delegation also offered flowers and incense to commemorate General Vo Nguyen Giap, commander-in-chief, the eldest brother of the heroic Vietnam People's Army, and visited the Dien Bien Phu Campaign Command Headquarters in Muong Phang commune.
