Quarter II/2025: ABBANK completed more than 90% of the annual profit plan

Specifically, as of June 30, 2025, ABBANK's scale of operations recorded positive growth: Total assets reached VND 204,851 billion, up 16% compared to the beginning of the year and exceeding 2% compared to the whole year plan; Mobilization from customers and issuance of valuable papers reached VND 149,587 billion, up 36% compared to the beginning of the year; Outstanding credit reached VND 122,364 billion, up more than 11% compared to the beginning of the year - growth focused mainly on the individual customer group, which is the Bank's strategic segment.

ABBANK's pre-tax profit at the end of the second quarter of 2025 reached VND 1,669 billion, recording a strong breakthrough, up nearly 200% over the same period in 2024.

The business results in the first 6 months of 2025 at ABBANK come from the simultaneous growth of core activities such as: net interest income increased by 21.1%, net profit from service activities increased by 202.1% compared to the same period in 2024. Operating efficiency by the end of the second quarter of 2025 was significantly improved, demonstrated through the CIR index reaching 31.29%, RoE reaching 18.3%.

ABBANK's asset quality is well controlled with flexible policies, closely following market developments. As of June 30, 2025, ABBANK has set aside VND 865 billion for credit risk provisions; bad debt is tightly controlled at 1.9%, continuing to be maintained below 3% as prescribed in Circular No. 11/2021/TT-NHNN of the State Bank.

ABBANK's capital quality continues to be guaranteed according to the standards of the State Bank, demonstrating a solid capital framework for business operations, creating momentum for the Bank's development: Capital adequacy ratio (CAR) always complies with over 8%, high liquidity with LDR reaching 62.82%. With these efforts, in the newly published rating report, the world rating agency Moody's continues to assess ABBANK's outlook at Stable amid the challenging developments of the Vietnamese market.

In the second quarter of 2025, ABBANK's Digital Banking segment continued to record many bright spots. The new generation Digital Banking platform ABBANK (replacing the previous AB Ditizen) was officially introduced to the market with many innovative features, notably the ABBY Family feature that helps parents accompany their children on their journey of personal financial management.

The application is considered one of the channels to attract new customers and help increase the usage rate from ABBANK's existing customers via digital channels. Accordingly, the number of transactions of individual customers on digital channels at ABBANK increased by 18.6%, the number of customers also increased by 5.8% compared to the first quarter of 2025. In the corporate customer segment, the ABBANK Business digital banking platform continued to make an important contribution to promoting customer engagement with ABBANK in the first 6 months of the year.

According to statistics, 80% of corporate customer transactions at ABBANK are conducted online, helping to improve customer experience and save operating time for direct sales teams. The ABBANK Business application is continuously supplemented with convenient features, meeting the needs of businesses with multi-point-of-sale and multi-channel sales models (multi-channel collection, specialized overdraft for distributors, etc.).

Mr. Pham Duy Hieu, General Director of ABBANK, said that the significantly improved growth in the second quarter of 2025 of ABBANK came from the fact that the Bank is promoting internal factors and efficiency from drastic restructuring of the operating apparatus. In the second half of the year, ABBANK aims to continue strong growth in credit, mobilization and services, with pre-tax profit expected to exceed the plan of VND 1,800 billion. In addition, the Bank also focuses on credit management and strict control of bad debts.

2025 is also a pivotal year for ABBANK in innovating its operating model towards restructuring the apparatus and optimizing operations. ABBANK also adjusted a series of remuneration policies for employees such as: salary increase, performance bonus, preferential loan program, car purchase vouchers... and continuously invested in people through the ABBELL program - Improving management and leadership capacity for key staff. The issue of implementing ESG sustainable development has also been seriously invested by ABBANK with the establishment of the ESG Sustainable Development Strategy Committee since the beginning of the year.
