On the morning of February 16, the 26th Ta Cu Mountain Climbing Tournament of Ham Thuan Nam District - Binh Thuan Open in 2024 will officially kick off in Thuan Nam town - Ham Thuan Nam district.
According to the organizers, there are currently 12 teams participating in the open system, 13 teams of athletes in the province and 22 grassroots teams of Ham Thuan Nam district . The competition content applies to all 3 systems with the nature of individual, team (male, female) and team competitions. In which, male athletes will run 4,000 m - climb 2,300 m (6,300 m) ; Female athletes will run 3,000 m - climb 2,300 m (5,300 m). The height of Ta Cu mountain is 694 m, the slope is from 40 - 65 degrees , this will be a breakthrough for individual events .
The Ta Cu Mountain Climbing Tournament was organized by Ham Thuan Nam district and upgraded to become a cultural and sports activity, meeting the entertainment needs of the masses and tourists during the New Year. This is the 26th season organized by the People's Committee of Ham Thuan Nam district to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2024) and Celebrate the Party - Celebrate the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin in 2024.
Accordingly , currently, athlete delegations such as Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau , Binh Phuoc, Binh Duong, Lam Dong... have gathered in Ham Thuan Nam. Standing out in this year's tournament is the participation of a delegation from Dau Tieng district, Binh Duong province .
