Temporary dam will be built to prevent salinity at Go Noi bridge

The total amount of funding is 696.5 million VND, from the provincial budget reserve in 2024 to build a temporary dam to prevent salinity at Go Noi bridge, and to fabricate and install a steel water intake culvert under the temporary Go Noi dam.

Quang Nam Irrigation Exploitation Company Limited is completing investment procedures under the supervision, guidance and monitoring of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Department of Planning and Investment. Construction of this project will begin in 15 days at the earliest. Once completed, this temporary dam will prevent salinity and provide fresh water for irrigation of 530 hectares of rice in Duy Xuyen.
