Super new moon is coming, some places will have "devil horns"

(NLDO) - A rare coincidence will create a super new moon on March 29, a "ghost" that can only be seen in some places.

According to NASA calculations, the Moon will reach its closest point to Earth on March 29 at a distance of 363,396 km, creating a ghostly super new moon.

A supermoon is a supermoon that occurs on a new moon day, when the Earth's satellite, the Moon, is completely submerged in the shadow. March 29 is also March 1 according to the lunar calendar.

This dark supermoon shouldn't be visible to Earthlings. But another coincidence will make it appear as "devil horns" to many: a solar eclipse.

According to Time and Date, the phenomenon known as the "devil's horn eclipse" on March 29 will be visible from some areas in Europe, Northern Asia, Northern/Western Africa, most of North America, northern South America, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Arctic.

The "devil's horn eclipse" will occur on the afternoon of March 29, Vietnam time, but unfortunately our country is not in the area where the phenomenon can be observed.

At that time, the supermoon - a huge black shadow - will reveal its whereabouts by temporarily blocking part of the Sun, with the high obscuration visible from many places in the US, creating an image that scientists in this country describe as resembling the devil's horns.

So the devil's horn eclipse is actually a partial eclipse.

The world will welcome another solar eclipse this September, but unfortunately it will not be visible from Vietnam.

However, the Moon will "compensate" us with another interesting performance, the September blood moon, an event that Vietnam is right in the most favorable observation area.
