Hanoi Department of Culture organizes Capital Veterans Art Festival

(Dan Tri) - Hundreds of veterans from 30 districts, towns and cities of Hanoi gathered at the 6th Capital Veterans Arts Festival in 2024.


On the evening of December 1, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports coordinated with the Hanoi Veterans Association to organize the final round of the 6th Capital Veterans Arts Festival 2024 with the theme Forever Uncle Ho's Soldiers at the City Cultural Center.

This is a practical activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024); the 35th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Veterans Association (December 6, 1989 - December 6, 2024).

In his opening speech, Major General Nguyen Manh Su - Vice Chairman of the Hanoi Veterans Association - emphasized that the performances at the festival contributed to widely propagating and educating the masses about the struggle to protect the Fatherland and build the country of our people, expressing gratitude for the great contributions of the Veterans, and educating the younger generation on traditions to follow in the footsteps of their predecessors.

This is also an opportunity for generations of Veterans to meet and exchange to develop the cultural and artistic movement in the Capital Veterans force, improve the spiritual and cultural life, encourage Veterans to live happily, healthily, and always maintain the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers.

Accordingly, the Festival was launched in March this year and has received enthusiastic response from the units.

In particular, 8 units have successfully organized the festival from commune, ward and town levels including: Thuong Tin, Me Linh, Soc Son, Ung Hoa, Nam Tu Liem, Thanh Xuan, Dong Anh, My Duc.

In the final round, the art performances were elaborately, methodically and attractively staged with content praising the country, the Communist Party of Vietnam, President Ho Chi Minh and the good qualities of the veteran force during the resistance war, building and defending the Fatherland as well as in social life and production labor.

The enthusiastic participation of veterans brought emotional performances, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere, contributing to welcoming the important events of the capital and the country.

The final round of the 6th Capital Veterans Arts Festival will last until December 4.
