That was the direction of Mr. Nguyen Minh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee at the conference to review 10 months of operation of the Provincial Tourism Association, held on the afternoon of November 6.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh highly appreciated the results that the Tourism Association has achieved in recent times. In particular, the solutions for cooperation in promotion, market recovery, human resource training and development, especially actively participating in the activities of the National Tourism Year 2023.
To enhance the position of Binh Thuan tourism brand in the hearts of tourists and make the most of competitive advantages, especially in the National Tourism Year 2023, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that the Tourism Association continue to promote close connections and support among members of the Association to take advantage of collective strength in multi-dimensional exchanges from related service industries and other Associations. At the same time, focus on solving difficulties and problems of businesses and members during their operations; do a good job of social security, join hands to work for the community.
In addition to actively coordinating to successfully organize the remaining activities of the National Tourism Year 2023, especially the Summary and Closing Ceremony, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Tourism Association to focus on developing a sustainable Binh Thuan tourism environment associated with diversifying tourism products and types to increase the rate of returning customers, as well as the satisfaction rate of tourists.
On this occasion, the Provincial Tourism Association admitted 14 new members. Two professional associations: the Travel Association and the Binh Thuan Tour Guide Association were also launched and officially put into operation.
In 2023, Binh Thuan will host the National Tourism Year with the theme "Binh Thuan - Green Convergence" . Thanks to that, in the first 10 months of the year , Binh Thuan welcomed nearly 7.3 million visitors to visit and relax . Of which , international tourists reached nearly 212 thousand visitors . Revenue from tourism activities was more than 18,800 billion VND. Notably , in just the first half of this year, Binh Thuan entered the list of 9 provinces and cities nationwide with tourism revenue of 10,000 billion VND or more . Binh Thuan is expected to welcome 8 million visitors this year.
