Teacher Hoang Ngoc Ha sets a record: Winning the Vietnam Golden Whistle for the fourth time

After a stressful season, referee Hoang Ngoc Ha continues to receive trust and won the Vietnam Golden Whistle award for the fourth time.

According to research, referee Hoang Ngoc Ha received the absolute score in the voting. That proves how great the prestige and standards that this FIFA referee brings are. This is not the only time the referee born in 1983 has achieved such an outstanding achievement. He first won the Vietnam Golden Whistle 2019 - the most prestigious referee award of VFF and VPF for excellent referees. Not only that, in 2020, he continued to successfully defend the Golden Whistle with an absolute score, thereby affirming the stability and quality of his refereeing work.

In the 2019 season, referee Hoang Ngoc Ha officiated 16 matches. In the 2020 season, referee Hoang Ngoc Ha was assigned to handle 15 V-League matches, including key matches that decided relegation. In the 2024 season, he refereed 18 matches. In the 2024-2025 season, he was assigned to referee 17/26 matches. In addition, he refereed matches as VAR, AVAR, and fourth referee.

The VFF Referee Board highly appreciates his ability to handle situations accurately, maintain professional balance and behave properly under pressure from spectators and players.

Referee Hoang Ngoc Ha, born in 1983 in Hanoi, has been one of the leading referees in Vietnam for many years. Off the field, he is a physical education teacher at Nam Trung Yen Primary School (Hanoi). On the field, teacher Hoang Ngoc Ha is the "King of Black Shirts" with sharp expertise, a stable mentality and the ability to control the match perfectly. In his career, up to now, he has won the Golden Whistle 4 times (in 2019, 2020, 2024 and 2025) and 2 Silver Whistles.
