Information about ACB boss gambling, transferring money abroad: Bank speaks out

(Dan Tri) - On the evening of January 4, Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank ( ACB ) informed about the content spread on the internet about the bank's leaders gambling and transferring tens of millions of USD abroad.

Specifically, ACB said it had received information about a number of individuals taking advantage of social networks to broadcast live (livestream) fabricated and false information about ACB leaders gambling, transferring tens of millions of USD abroad... The bank affirmed that the above content was fabricated.

In particular, this false information also risks causing confusion and panic among the public, negatively affecting the financial and monetary security of the finance and banking sector in Vietnam.

The bank said it has collected all posted content and spread of false information in accordance with legal procedures to report the incident to competent management agencies for handling in accordance with the law.

Mr. Tran Hung Huy also shared the bank's official announcement regarding the incident on his personal page. Mr. Tran Hung Huy (born in 1978) is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACB. Mr. Huy is the son of businessman Tran Mong Hung - one of the founders and long-time Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACB.
