In a solemn, sacred and emotional atmosphere, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and members of the delegation respectfully bowed before the souls of the heroes and martyrs who bravely fought and sacrificed on the heroic land of Dien Bien Phu.

70 years ago, under the talented and wise leadership of the Party and the great President Ho Chi Minh - National Hero, World Cultural Celebrity, our army and people fought bravely and carried out the decisive battle of Dien Bien Phu.

With courage and a spirit of heroic sacrifice, through 56 days and nights of "digging mountains and sleeping in tunnels, eating rice in the pouring rain, mixing blood with mud, unwavering courage and unwavering will", the heroes, martyrs and soldiers of Dien Bien, together with the entire Party, the entire army and the entire people, achieved a victory that "resounded throughout the five continents and shook the world".

The Dien Bien Phu victory will forever be an immortal heroic epic - "A shining golden milestone" in the history of our nation and our country.

Built in 1958 and repaired and upgraded many times, the A1 National Martyrs Cemetery is about 100 meters south of the historical site of A1 Hill. It is the resting place of 644 soldiers who fought heroically and sacrificed their lives in the historic Dien Bien Phu Campaign in 1954.

It is expected that on May 6 and 7, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will attend many important activities in the program to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory, especially the celebration ceremony, parade, and march held on the morning of May 7 at Dien Bien Provincial Stadium.
