On the evening of December 8, at the University of Sciences - Hue University, the closing ceremony and award ceremony of the 32nd Vietnam Student Informatics Olympiad, Vietnam Procon and International Student Programming Contest (ICPC) in Asia 2023 took place. This is a series of combined programs, opening from the morning of December 6.

This year's Vietnam Student Informatics Olympiad has found the owners of the gold cup of the super level, which are two students Tran Xuan Bach and Pham Xuan Trung (both from the University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi).

Notably, this year Vietnam is the second country (after Japan) to organize the Procon programming competition, a preparation activity for the international competition Procon Asia in 2024. In this new and challenging content, students competed in the knockout round on the morning of December 7. The two championship and first prizes once again belonged to students from the University of Technology (Vietnam National University, Hanoi).
The award ceremony of the ICPC Asia Hue City 2023 competition was the most anticipated by students. The championship trophy belonged to a group of students from Seoul National University (Korea). This team will represent Asia to participate in the 2024 global finals held in Kazakhstan in September 2024.
This year, this series of international information technology competitions was hosted by the University of Sciences - Hue University. The competition attracted more than 600 Vietnamese students and 60 students from 10 prestigious universities in 6 countries and territories (Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines) to compete.

At the program, the Organizing Committee of ICPC Asia Hue City 2023 also awarded the flag to host the ICPC exam in 2024 to Hanoi National University.
The organizers of the competition said that this international-scale activity will supplement programming, algorithm, teamwork and foreign language skills for future IT experts. At the same time, it will gradually bring the brands of Vietnamese universities to the top 100 universities with the best quality of IT students in the world.
