According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nam Dinh province, in February 2024, many major festivals took place in the province, such as Vu Ban and Nam Truc spring markets and Tran Temple Seal Opening Festival, attracting a large number of tourists.
It is estimated that in February 2024, there will be about 564 thousand visitors to the province's tourist attractions, an increase of 200% over the same period in 2023. Total revenue from tourism services is estimated at 110 billion VND, an increase of 162% over the same period in 2023.

In order to better serve the needs of tourists during the Lunar New Year and the Spring Festival season of 2024, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nam Dinh province coordinates with departments, branches, and People's Committees of districts and cities to strictly implement the management and organization of festivals to ensure that festivals are organized solemnly, safely, economically, in accordance with regulations and traditional rituals, customs and local practices.
Strengthen inspection, examination and supervision before, during and after the festival; promptly prevent and strictly handle violations in festival activities, especially acts of taking advantage of relics, festivals and beliefs for personal gain, superstitious activities... Strengthen the responsibility of local leaders in the management and organization of festivals according to the management hierarchy.
Previously, during the Lunar New Year and the 2024 Spring Festival season, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nam Dinh province organized many propaganda and visual promotion activities to introduce the festival, spring tourist destinations of the province, cultural activities, arts, and exhibitions to serve the people and spring tourists.
At traditional folk festivals in localities in the province, in addition to the ceremony, festival activities are innovated, created, and many healthy and attractive folk games are restored... contributing to creating a joyful and bustling spring atmosphere, attracting tourists; ensuring security, safety and civilization.
