Ho Chi Minh City continues to support health insurance for groups of people covered by the local budget.

The Social Insurance (SI) of Region XXVII has just issued a notice to continue implementing the policy of supporting voluntary health insurance (HI) and social insurance (SI) contributions for groups of subjects previously supported by the local budgets of Binh Duong province and Ba Ria - Vung Tau province (old) according to the Resolutions of the People's Councils of these two localities.

People over 65 years old continue to be granted free health insurance cards

Accordingly, support will be maintained until the above Resolutions expire or are replaced by new Resolutions, to ensure continuous benefits for people, especially vulnerable groups and social protection beneficiaries.

Previously, on July 4, Social Insurance Region XXVII sent a document reporting to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on continuing to implement the health insurance and social insurance support policy for groups of subjects supported by the provincial budget according to current regulations.

Specifically, people in the groups supported under the Resolution of the People's Council of Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau provinces (old) will continue to enjoy health insurance benefits from July 1, 2025, without interruption while waiting for the competent authority to issue new regulations in accordance with the administrative organization model of Ho Chi Minh City after the rearrangement.
