Along with expanding the scope, to make the program "Controlling the quality of goods in Ho Chi Minh City" (abbreviated as Responsible Green Tick) spread more strongly, the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City said that there will be many promotional activities, introducing to consumers the implementation of "Responsible Green Tick Month".
Number of participating suppliers is increasing gradually
On August 1, at the regular meeting to announce information about the Green Tick of Responsibility, the City Department of Industry and Trade said that as of July 31, the program had 11 distribution systems and 345 suppliers registered to participate, of which 235 suppliers There are approved products (accounting for 68.12%). The total number of registered products is 2,887, of which 2,811 products are approved (accounting for 97.37%).
Not only vegetables and fruits like in the first phase, now there are 91 processed products (pork, bird's nest, eggs, fish cakes, rice noodles, tofu...) approved to participate in Green Tick.
According to this agency, the number of suppliers and products participating in the Green Tick of Responsibility is generally increasing. Specifically, Co.opmart currently has 99 suppliers participating with 1,057 products approved for Green Tick; Bach Hoa Xanh has 155 and 552 respectively; Central Retail has 46 and 245; Lotte Mart has 24 and 203; MM Mega Market has 62 and 162...
The leader of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade said that the new and positive point of the recent program is that many suppliers have proactively taken samples for testing and publicly announced the quality.
Specifically, in less than a month of implementation, 54 suppliers of 6 distribution systems have self-tested 163 product samples and announced the quality for all participants to know.
"In addition to proactive testing, many distribution systems have committed to increasing efforts in the coming time to get more suppliers to self-test and declare quality. This is one of the solutions that the program will promote to support more effective screening and control of input quality."
Implement "Responsible Blue Tick Month"
Mr. Nguyen Nguyen Phuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City - said that recently the department has focused a lot on mobilizing and encouraging participants, so the program basically has a stable process.
However, in the coming time, we will focus more on operations, quality control, and especially promoting information about the program and participating units to consumers, through the "Responsible Green Tick Month" activity.

With "Responsible Green Tick Month", distribution systems will exploit the Responsible Green Tick logo to attach to products, increase communication and promotion for the program at points of sale and online channels, run promotions for products participating in Green Tick...
From the perspective of the state management unit, the city's industry and trade sector will calculate and coordinate with the media unit to organize seminars; organize programs to announce results, commend units, classify and award stars to distribution systems and suppliers to recognize active participation...

Need to have a plan for sample testing
From the perspective of the application provider and program operation support unit, Mr. Dao Ha Trung - Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City High Technology Association - said that the approval of the new responsible Blue Tick product will start from March 13, 2025 and testing will start from July 9, 2025.
According to Mr. Trung, in addition to increasing promotion to consumers, in the coming time, the Responsible Green Tick program needs to have more specific activities regarding control.
"It is necessary to plan for inspection, sampling, announcement and handling. The inspection and sampling plan can be divided into 3 groups (product types; growing areas of provinces/cities; by distribution system). Distribution systems need to have a testing plan according to time, quantity, and type. For example, each month there are 50 random tests for 50 suppliers...
In addition, suppliers also need to be regulated how many times a year each product must be tested.
