The Ministry of Transport has just sent a document to the People's Committees of two provinces: Binh Thuan and Dong Nai regarding the situation of arbitrary dismantling of fences and theft of construction assets at the North-South expressway project, Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet and Phan Thiet - Dau Giay sections.

According to the Ministry of Transport , the component projects of Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet and Phan Thiet - Dau Giay sections are assigned to Project Management Board 7 and Thang Long Project Management Board to organize construction and put into operation from May 2023, promoting investment efficiency.
However, according to the report, since the time of putting into operation, there have been many cases of people arbitrarily dismantling fences, bad guys stealing anti-glare panels, materials, electrical equipment in the lighting system... seriously affecting the safety of exploitation and loss of project assets.
Although the investors have sent documents to local authorities for handling, it has not been thoroughly handled yet.
"To ensure the safe exploitation of projects, the People's Committees of the two provinces: Binh Thuan and Dong Nai need to pay attention, direct and urge relevant agencies and units to strengthen propaganda work to the people, promptly take measures to prevent and strictly handle violations of the law, and not let the above situation continue," the Ministry of Transport proposed.
Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Expressway is 100.8km long, passing through Tuy Phong, Bac Binh, Ham Thuan Bac, Ham Thuan Nam districts of Binh Thuan province. In the phased phase, the expressway is invested with a scale of 4 lanes, roadbed width of 17m.
Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Expressway is 99km long, passing through two provinces: Binh Thuan (nearly 48km), Dong Nai (more than 51km). In the phased phase, the project is invested with a scale of 4 lanes, a roadbed width of 25m, and a design speed of 120km/h.
