19 student projects entered the semi-finals of the 'Green Projects - Inventions - Circular Solutions' Competition

After the exciting preliminary round, the Jury of the “Green Project - Recycling Initiative - Circular Solution” Contest has officially selected 19 excellent projects to enter the semi-finals, from a total of 39 ideas submitted by university students in Ho Chi Minh City.

The contest was organized by the Association of High-Quality Vietnamese Goods Enterprises, the Center for Business Research and Enterprise Support (BSA) and the High-Quality Vietnamese Goods - Integration Standards Program, within the framework of the "Green Transformation Forum and Recycling Day 2025".

This is one of the key activities to inspire innovation, raise awareness and practical action among young people, especially students, on environmental issues, recycling, and sustainable development.

According to the Organizing Committee, 19/39 creative recycling ideas from students were considered for the semi-final round, scheduled to take place on July 26, 2025 at the office of the Association of High-Quality Vietnamese Goods Enterprises, Ho Chi Minh City.

19 semi-finalist ideas include: Project “BACHI-Environmentally friendly food container from banana leaves”; Project “Green nursery bag from banana peel and seaweed powder”; Project “Growing mushrooms from organic household waste”; Project “Sustainable energy solutions towards Net Zero at Eastern International University (EIU); Project “GreenLoop-Circular solution in electricity use at schools”; Project MycoTube; Project “Green bio-bricks from Mycelium mycelium combined with agricultural waste and microorganisms”; Project “Green Choice”; Project “NACHITO-Nano Chitosan for fruit preservation”; Project “Chitosan Hydrogel Membrane”; Project “ECOCO-Eco-coconut fiber soundproofing panels”; Project “EcoCycle Mall-Co May Dormitory-Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry”; Project “Assembled EcoBricks (EB)-Assembled eco-plastic bricks/walls”; Project “Regeneration from old fabrics-Spreading green lifestyle (water bottle holders and handbags from old jeans and elastic)”; Project “ReCandle-Rekindling old things”; Project “IoT Solar Lamppost - developing a street light using solar energy and connecting to the Internet of Things (IoT); "Cocoa husk tea" project; "Ecoco-Ecosystem from circulating corn husks" project; "LoopChar by Alphaloop" project...

These are projects that are not only highly feasible and creative but also adhere to the core criteria of the Competition such as: applicability, green-circular elements and the ability to spread in the community. The semi-finalist projects will also be introduced and displayed at the exhibition area during the forum event.

In the semi-finals, the teams will present their products, models or ideas to the jury to select the 5 best teams to enter the final round. The final round will take place on the afternoon of July 31, 2025.
