According to Mr. Nguyen Nam Dinh, Permanent Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Council, the event is an opportunity to introduce to the people of Gwangju city the traditional culture of Nghe An, especially the Nghe Tinh Vi-Giam folk songs, which have been recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
