Speaking to Dan Tri reporters this morning (January 12), referee Le Tuan Kiet, who was knocked out in the incident where player Nguyen Hong Quang of the Quang Ngai Business Team (DNQN) beat up a referee on an amateur soccer field in Ho Chi Minh City on January 9, said he had filed a complaint about the incident with the police since yesterday afternoon (January 11).

This morning (January 12), referee Le Tuan Kiet went to Hoa Hao Medical Center (HCMC) for a re-examination of his injury. The examination results showed that referee Kiet had a fracture in the maxillary sinus wall area.

Referee Le Tuan Kiet said: "I didn't break any teeth, but the doctors said I broke my jaw, my face is very sore right now."

Previously, the incident occurred in the match between Cealdon An Phu team and DNQN team at the S7 Veteran Online Business Football Tournament season 23, which took place on January 9 in Ho Chi Minh City.

In this match, when referee Le Tuan Kiet blew the whistle to penalize the DNQN team after a collision between players of the two teams, player Nguyen Hong Quang of the DNQN team rushed to attack the referee.

After a few words, player Nguyen Hong Quang suddenly threw a strong punch at referee Le Tuan Kiet's face, causing referee Kiet to stagger a few steps and then collapse on the field. Realizing Nguyen Hong Quang's lack of restraint, his teammates had to separate him from referee Kiet.

After being hit in the above situation, referee Le Tuan Kiet could not continue his duties as the main referee, but had to change positions with the table referee (often called the 4th referee). After that situation, Mr. Kiet sat as the table referee, and the table referee entered the field to control the rest of the match.

Referee Le Tuan Kiet is a referee of the Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation (HFF). He is also a referee who has been awarded the VFF rank.
