BIDV reduces lending interest rates to support customers affected by storm Yagi

In addition to supporting interest rate reduction for customers, BIDV also implemented many sharing activities with people affected by Typhoon Yagi.

The recent storm No. 3 (Yagi) has caused serious and heavy damage to people, property, and socio -economic infrastructure; greatly affecting the lives and production and business activities of people and enterprises in many northern provinces and cities.

Following the direction of the Government and the State Bank to support people and businesses to overcome difficulties and restore production and business activities, BIDV has implemented a program to reduce lending interest rates to support individuals and businesses affected by storm No. 3.

Accordingly, the total outstanding balance subject to interest rate reduction is VND 100,000 billion, specifically: VND 40,000 billion for existing loans and implementing a credit package of VND 60,000 billion for new loans. The maximum interest rate reduction is up to 2%/year depending on the level of damage and the customer's loan term. The interest rate reduction support period is from September 20, 2024 to December 31, 2024.

In addition to supporting interest rate reduction for customers, BIDV also implemented many sharing activities with people affected by storm No. 3; participated in donating and supporting over 30 billion VND; mobilized more than 29,000 workers to voluntarily donate 1 day's salary...

BIDV continues to make efforts to accompany, share and support people and businesses to soon stabilize their lives and restore production and business activities after storms and floods; at the same time, promote the role and responsibility of the State Commercial Bank in implementing the policies of the Government and the State Bank.
