According to Engadget , Blizzard is giving gamers another chance to try out Diablo IV before the game officially launches. The game's Server Slam will give console and PC players a 48-hour playthrough to explore the game's prologue and Act I. This is part of Blizzard's plan to prepare the system for the highly anticipated launch on June 6.

Blizzard is about to open another playtest for Diablo IV

Accordingly, Server Slam will take place from May 12 to May 14 for players on Windows PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S or Xbox One. This event will support local co-op (couch co-op), cross-play and cross-progression, and can also experience all 5 character classes including Barbarian, Druid, Sorcerer, Rogue and Necromancer.

This two-day event will cap your character at level 20, after which you won't earn any Ability Points, but you'll still be able to collect new gear. Also, if you played during Early Access or Open Beta, your previous progress won't transfer to Server Slam, nor will anything you earned during Server Slam carry over to the official launch.

Diablo IV server test announcement

Blizzard will be giving Server Slam participants a very difficult boss fight in Ashava, which is said to be an extremely difficult task for players below level 20. However, anyone who takes down the boss will earn the Cry of Ashava Mount Trophy, which can be carried over to the official launch.

Blizzard will make Server Slam available for download two days before the event, and if players participated in the previous playtest and haven't uninstalled the game, they'll see the update for Server Slam available on May 10.
