For the first time, Vietnamese audiences will have the opportunity to enjoy a unique circus performance by an Italian female artist at the Central Circus at 4pm on July 19-20.

According to information from the Italian Embassy in Hanoi , the contemporary circus “Gretel” is an attractive solo performance by artist and acrobat trainer Clara Storti.

Combining the power of circus arts with striking visual storytelling, the artist showcases a rich array of techniques, including aerial rope swinging, object manipulation, and object balancing.

Inspired by the famous fairy tale “Hansel and Gretel,” artist Clara Storti and her colleagues at the Quattrox4 art troupe created the one-man circus “Gretel.”

Clara Storti said she wanted to create an artistic experience that was both subtle and surreal. The artist evoked a fairytale, dreamy atmosphere but also reflected the chaotic reality, thereby highlighting human perseverance, daring and aspiration.

“The fairytale setting allowed me to create an extraordinary setting, with strange objects arranged in unusual places. Gretel walks back and forth in her small house, full of messy objects. She tries to escape, just as we try to overcome difficulties in life,” says Clara Storti.

The show is suitable for audiences of all ages. Free tickets are available at the Central Circus, 67-69 Tran Nhan Tong, Hanoi./.
