Vietnam Government announces "hot" results of dirty pork accusation case

(Dan Tri) - The Vietnamese Government issued a conclusion from the Investigation Police Agency of Soc Trang Province stating that there were no signs of violations of food safety regulations and that no criminal case would be initiated.

Vietnam Joint Stock Company has just released official information, affirming that it has not violated food safety regulations.

The company also announced the conclusion from the Investigation Police Agency of Soc Trang Province (before the time of administrative unit merger - PV). The conclusion stated that CP Vietnam Livestock Company showed no signs of violating food safety regulations as stipulated in Clause 2, Article 157 of the Criminal Procedure Code; at the same time, no criminal case was initiated for Violation of food safety regulations.

Previously, the Investigation Police Agency of Soc Trang Province Police received a Crime Denunciation with the following content: On May 30, the Facebook account of "Jonny Lieu" posted information about the Complaint for violating the law on food safety.

The content of the complaint shows that the complainant's name is Lieu Quy Nhan, born in 1985, with citizen identification number and permanent address in My Xuyen district, Soc Trang province (old).

The content of the accusation against Vietnam Joint Stock Company for using diseased pork and chicken with a foul smell to bring to Freshop My Xuyen - Soc Trang to sell to the market... is accompanied by many pictures of pigs showing signs of disease.

From this conclusion, the Vietnamese Government affirms that it did not violate food safety laws, contrary to previously spread false information.

Previously, when the scandal broke out, some food stores and businesses using CP Vietnam products as raw materials announced that they would temporarily stop selling the brand’s products. Some other stores spoke up to reassure consumers about the source of raw materials.
