On the occasion of the 249th anniversary of the Independence Day of the United States of America (July 4, 1776 - July 4, 2025) and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-United States diplomatic relations (July 12, 1995 - July 12, 2025), on July 4, 2025, General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent congratulatory messages to President of the United States of America Donald Trump.

On this occasion, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man also sent congratulatory messages to Mr. James David Vance, President of the Senate and Mr. Mike Johnson, Speaker of the United States House of Representatives.

In their congratulatory messages, senior leaders of the Vietnamese Party and State reaffirmed that Vietnam consistently considers the United States one of its strategically important partners, welcoming the United States' support for a "strong, independent, self-reliant, and prosperous" Vietnam.

Looking back on the 30-year journey since the official establishment of diplomatic relations, especially after the two countries upgraded their relationship to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, senior Vietnamese leaders expressed their delight at the positive developments in cooperation between the two countries in all fields, bilaterally, regionally and internationally, and emphasized that Vietnam is ready to work with the United States to continue to develop the Vietnam-US Comprehensive Strategic Partnership more effectively and substantially, bringing practical benefits to the people of the two countries, contributing to peace , stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son sent a congratulatory message to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio./.
