(Dan Tri) - Samsung revealed the super thin smartphone called Galaxy S25 Edge but did not announce the configuration, nor did it let visitors experience it.
At the Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung officially launched the Galaxy S25 series, with three variants including Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra.
The tech world had expected Samsung to launch a Galaxy S25 Slim variant with an ultra-thin design. However, Samsung has revealed another phone called the Galaxy S25 Edge.
Samsung has not announced information about the configuration, nor has it allowed the tech world to experience the Galaxy S25 Edge in person.
Based on the displayed product, it can be seen that the Galaxy S25 Edge is impressively thin, with a "mole" shaped screen to accommodate the front camera. The product has a flat frame similar to other Galaxy S25 variants.
Notably, the back of the product only has 2 cameras, instead of 3 cameras like on the standard Galaxy S25. The design of the camera cluster on the Galaxy S25 Edge reminds many people of the back of the iPhone 16.
It seems that the Galaxy S25 Edge's ultra-thin design is the reason why Samsung couldn't find a solution to arrange a multi-lens camera module, so it could only equip a 2-camera cluster.
It is not yet clear whether the camera on the Galaxy S25 Edge will be an ultra-wide-angle lens or a telephoto camera to support optical zoom.
Samsung said the super-thin Galaxy S25 Edge phone will go on sale next May.
The launch of the Galaxy S25 Edge is considered a preemptive move by Samsung, as previously leaked information said Apple would also launch the iPhone 17 Air with an ultra-thin design this year.
