In recent days, due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain, the Tan Trinh - Thong Nguyen inter-commune road has suffered a serious landslide at km19. Up to now, the landslide has not been fixed, causing local traffic congestion, greatly affecting people's lives.

The estimated volume of landslides is more than 1,600m³, covering a road surface of more than 13m, causing people's travel and transportation of goods to be almost paralyzed. This route is the main traffic axis connecting remote communes in the region, so prolonged landslides pose many potential risks, especially in the context of continued complex weather conditions.

Comrade Vu The Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Thong Nguyen Commune, said that immediately after the landslide occurred, the commune sent specialized staff to inspect the scene, put up danger warning signs and directed local forces to temporarily fix the situation so that motorbikes could circulate. However, due to the large volume of landslides and the road previously managed by the old district, which has not been handed over to the commune for maintenance, the repair work still faces many difficulties.

The commune government has sent a report to the relevant authorities and hopes to soon receive emergency support to handle the landslide, restore smooth traffic, ensure safety for the people, and create conditions for socio -economic development in the locality.
