Chan May Port welcomes first cruise ship in 2025

Anthem Of The Seas carrying more than 4,450 British, American, Australian tourists... is the first cruise ship to dock at Chan May port, Hue city in the new year 2025.

On the morning of January 9, at Chan May Port, Hue City Department of Tourism coordinated with Chan May Port Joint Stock Company and Saigontourist Travel Service Company Limited to organize a program to welcome the cruise ship Anthem Of The Seas and the first tourists to Hue City by sea in 2025.

Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Hoang Hai Minh and leaders of the Department of Tourism and other units and localities welcomed the first cruise ship and tourists to Hue by sea in 2025.

At the program, Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Hoang Hai Minh, along with leaders of the Department of Tourism, Tourism Association, Chan May Port Joint Stock Company, Border Guard Command, Chan May Port Border Guard Station, Maritime Port Authority and related units presented flowers and gifts to welcome the captain, crew and the first tourists to Hue City by sea in 2025.

The cruise ship Anthem Of The Seas (Bahamas nationality), belonging to Royal Caribbean, carrying 4,455 tourists from the UK, US, Australia... docked at Chan May seaport (Phu Loc district, Hue city) at 7:00 a.m. on January 9.

According to Saigontourist Travel Services Company Limited, after the ship docked at Chan May port, the company welcomed nearly 2,000 guests who booked tours to visit tourist attractions and enjoy cuisine in Hue City, Da Nang City and Quang Nam Province in 1 day.

Besides, there were more than 500 visitors visiting famous tourist attractions in Hue such as the Imperial City, Tu Duc Tomb, Thien Mu Pagoda...

According to schedule, the Anthem Of The Seas ship and its passengers will leave Chan May seaport at 8:00 p.m. the same day.

The program to welcome the first cruise ship and tourists to Hue by sea in 2025 is one of the activities to celebrate the New Year and launch a series of events and tourism activities of Hue City in 2025.

Leaders of Hue City People's Committee and units presented flowers and gifts to welcome the first tourists to Hue City by sea in 2025.

Notably, according to the Hue City Department of Tourism, up to now, there have been 49 cruise ships registered to dock at Chan May port in 2025 with nearly 99,998 passengers and 39,212 crew members.

In 2024, Hue tourism industry welcomed 40 cruise ships docking at Chan May port with more than 90,000 passengers and crew members.

According to schedule, the Anthem Of The Seas cruise ship and its passengers will leave Chan May seaport at 8:00 p.m. on January 9.
